CalHIPSO and IHA are excited to partner to provide an update on the Symphony Provider Directory roll-out!
As California’s centralized platform for provider data, the Symphony Provider Directory streamlines the way health plans and providers share, validate and reconcile provider information in compliance with state and federal requirements such as SB 137, Medicare Advantage and Medi-Cal.
Led by non-profit organization Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA), Symphony is the result of cross-industry collaboration and has seen great early momentum since launching officially in January 2019. Current participants include Blue Shield of California, Health Net of California, Anthem Blue Cross and Aetna as well as over 40 provider organizations across the state.

IHA Stakeholders Meeting: Stakeholder Perspectives: IHA’s Statewide Provider Directory Utility (PDU) Initiative
Patients rely on provider directories to make important choices about their care, yet maintaining accurate directories remains a tough operational challenge for health plans and providers. To solve this problem, IHA is leading a multi-stakeholder, statewide collaboration to develop and implement a single, centralized cloud-based platform which enables health plans and providers to meet requirements set by California’s SB137 and decreases administrative burden.
Join this session to hear about this large-scale initiative’s early findings, successes and challenges from the regulatory, health plan and provider perspective.
